May 1st 1946, the dairy Turnaria of Summaga was established with the desire and the willingness of the local farmers to start over after the hostilities of the war.
The development of the dairy continues at a pace and at the same time feeds the life of Summaga. In fact, for many years it was the heart of the village, a place where the inhabitants would meet when the radio was still a rare possession. Finally, with the passage into a social dairy it became a symbol of the local farmers’ emancipation.
The passion and experience of the its members has with time shown results, transforming the social dairy of Summaga into a small dynamic and modern reality which has been able to maintain a corner of tradition in a village surrounded by a constantly more urbanized world.
A limited number of producers, with the productive capacity of excellent fresh milk, offer their products to customers who are more and more oriented towards buying genuine food: this is the result of an Italian slow food chain.
